Flow Poke is the second EP from Timbah and the follow up to 2012′s ‘Can’t Love Without You’ on Bad Taste Records. His debut release received widespread on-line coverage, drawing comparisons to James Blake and Rustie. But his new material has veered off into a whole new direction, one that’s more grimey, raw and energetic.
Flow Poke is the first track to kick off the EP and sets the tone for the release; melodic, epic and intense. There’s a ton of influences prevalent throughout each track, from Grime to ‘Bass Music’ to Dirty South Hip Hop, but we think Timbah manages to retain his own style and bring something fresh to the table.
